Steps to Solve Problems :-

1) Draw the Gantt chart which shows the starting time, end time of every process.

Using Gantt chart and following formulas calculate waiting time, turnaround time and response time of every process as well as average waiting time, average turnaround time and average response time

a) Turnaround time = Finish time – Arrival time

b) Waiting time = Turnaround time – CPU time

CPU time = burst time = Execution time = Process time

c) Response time = time at which first time process will go in execution – Arrival time.

d) Average Turnaround Time = (Turnaround time of all process)  /  (Total number of process)

e) Average waiting Time = (Waiting time of all processes) / (Total number of process)

f) Average Response Time =( Response time of all process) /  (Total number of processes)

( Note :- In examination write down formulas of quantities which are asked. )
