Globally, History is divided under the three sub-sections i.e. Ancient History, Medieval History and Modern History. This course deals with the Modern History of India for UPSC Prelims and UPSC Main Exam.
The Union Public Service Commission conducts the prestigious Civil Services Exam every year. These notes on the History of Modern India from the middle of the 18th century to India’s independence in 1947 are recommended for both, UPSC Prelims
and the UPSC Mains. While these notes are as per the UPSC Prelims syllabus and the UPSC Mains syllabus, the aspirants should remember that style of revision has to adapt
depending on the objective (Prelims) or the subjective (Mains) nature of questions.
The factual nature of the subject generally makes it difficult to study and remember the things. So we have tried to make it more graphical using audio-visual content, highlighting the important
points and organizing the content in more logical way to make it easy to understand and remember.
